[Job Story] Liebherr Cranes at Work for Winter Olympics 2026 in Italy

Liebherr has been deployed on the construction of two Italian venues for the 2026 Winter Olympics: the new ski jumping hills in Predazzo and the arena in Milan.

To build Milan’s arena, one of the cornerstone venues for the event, Liebherr has deployed a 340 EC-B, a 370 EC-B 12 Fibre, a 280 EC-H, two 205 EC-B units and a 285 EC-B. The mix is well suited to a tight inner-city construction site. By contrast, the Predazzo project, the new “Centro del Salto” in Val di Fiemme, is an Alpine site where high lifting capacities and precise control are essential. For this precision work, Liebherr top-slewing cranes 340 EC-B, 370 EC-B 12 Fibre and 550 EC-H are in operation, supporting the complex logistics of the mountain terrain.

The cranes used at both sites were supplied by dealer Niederstätter AG:
