DEVELON has updated its articulated dump truck (ADT) line with a redesigned cab, aimed at improving day-to-day usability for operators working long shifts. The upgrade focuses on making the experience more practical, enhancing both safety and comfort.
A new 12-inch high-resolution touchscreen gives operators quicker, more intuitive access to machine data, settings, and camera feeds. The larger display improves visibility and simplifies navigation, helping operators react faster and make better-informed decisions during day-to-day work.
DEVELON has also reworked the cab layout to support a more natural driving position over long shifts. Controls are grouped more logically, with ergonomics improved to reduce fatigue during repetitive tasks. Visibility has been enhanced as well, a practical upgrade for operators working on busy haul roads or in tight loading and dumping areas.
On the safety and ease-of-use side, the updated ADTs are equipped with an auto-hold brake function that keeps the machine stationary during dumping. By removing the need to constantly manage the brake in these moments, the system helps reduce operator workload and improve control when conditions are demanding.
Noise levels in the cab have been reduced and the climate control system has been upgraded to help operators stay comfortable during long shifts. DEVELON has also improved cab access, adding safety-focused features to make entry and exit easier and more secure.
Taken together, the changes are designed to reduce fatigue and make daily operation more straightforward, particularly on busy sites where operators spend hours behind the wheel. The update underlines a clear direction: putting the operator at the centre of the design.
