machineryasia Manitou Group has rolled out the largest “High Lift” rotating telehandler in its MRT Vision+ Series lineup with the new MRT 4080.
Designed for complex lifting tasks, the three-in-one machine can serve as a telehandler, mobile crane or aerial work platform. It offers a lifting height of 131 feet 3 inches, up to 17,630 pounds lifting capacity and an 88-foot maximum outreach.
Manitou equipped the new MRT 4080 with new features focused on comfort, performance, energy savings, safety and efficiency.
Adjustable stabilization and high ground clearance allows for quick and safe setup, even on restricted or all-terrain worksites, the company says.
The Manitou Telescopic Boom Management (MTBM) has five boom sections controlled independently and automatically for increased precision and performance in high-reach applications.
With 360-degree turret rotation and all-around cab visibility, the MRT 4080 allows operators to complete tasks without repositioning the machine.
A now standard Stop and Start function automatically shuts down the engine and hour meter when the telehandler is idling without hydraulic activity or machine movement after a set period. The telehandler restarts quickly when the operator interacts with the joystick or the throttle pedal.
The MRT 4080’s 211-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine meets Tier 4 Final emissions standards.
Additional features include:
- Manitou Safety System (MSS): A load indicating and limiting device.
- Manitou E-RECO attachment recognition system: Automatically sets the correct load charts and includes a remote control that displays load moment limits while the operator is standing outside the cab.
- Hydrostatic CVT Transmission: Automatically adapts to and limits travel speed based on the attachment and live load weight.
- 4-sided chassis floor access
- Quick stabilization on rough terrain
Available attachments include an extension jib with winch, floating fork carriage, variable speed winch and standard winch, plus a slewing extendible platform with winch.
The MRT 4080 replaces the MRT 3570 in Manitou’s lineup.
