Liebherr Extends Maintenance Interval to 1,000 Hours on Material Handlers
Liebherr has increased the maintenance interval for its Generation 6 material handling machines from 500 to 1,000 operating hours, starting from the third scheduled service. This adjustment is expected to reduce maintenance-related downtime and cut operating costs by up to 30%, without affecting performance, durability or safety.
The extended interval has been made possible through a series of technical optimisations, including the use of Liebherr’s original spare parts and proprietary lubricants. It applies to a wide range of models, from LH 40 to LH 150 (electric) and LH 30 to LH 150 (diesel).
By doubling the time between services, operators benefit from fewer service interventions, reduced material consumption, such as filters and oils, and significantly less downtime. These improvements translate into greater efficiency and lower running costs, especially in high-utilisation operations.

The newly extended maintenance intervals are valid only when using Liebherr original spare parts, formulated lubricants and approved operating fluids, ensuring optimal machine performance, efficiency and longevity. This integrated approach supports not just quality and safety, but also predictable machine availability, thanks to clearly defined service schedules and reduced intervention frequency.
