A new German consortium of off-highway vehicle OEMs, suppliers and academics – PoWer – has been created to comprehensively investigate the cross-application use of hydrogen-engine powertrain concepts for construction and agricultural applications, with leadership from Mahle. PoWer members also include Liebherr, Deutz, Kit, The German Aerospace Center (DLR), Purem, Claas, Braunschweig University of Technology, Nagel, Umicore, NGK and Castrol, This three-year project is being funded with €5.1 million by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and supported by TÜV Rheinland.
