Zoomlion Unveils World’s Tallest Tower Crane for Wind Turbine Construction
The new LW3600-240NB has a maximum lift height of 791 feet and a lift capacity of 529,000 pounds.

Zoomlion says it has launched the world’s tallest and largest wind power tower crane.
Unveiled at the company’s Changde Intelligent Tower Crane Factory in Southeast China this year, the LW3600-240NB is aimed at the large-megawatt wind turbine industry.
It has a maximum lifting height of 790.7 feet and a lifting capacity of roughly 529,000 pounds. The crane comes in body sections of 139 square feet.
According to Zoomlion, the LW3600-240NB is also suited for general construction, bridge building, nuclear power, thermal power and chemical engineering projects. The crane is a response to market demands for larger single-unit capacities and stronger hoisting performance, the company says.

The LW3600-240NB requires an area of at least 115 by 180 feet.
Key safety features on the LW3600-240NB include:
- A stable low-load design
- Round-tenon, high-strength forged clamping ring connections for higher wind resistance up to grade 10
- Dual-cylinder synchronous jacking technology
- ETI digital intelligent control technology for intelligent management
This isn’t Zoomlion's first world's record. Last year, the manufacturer unveiled the 1,200-horsepower DX7004, which it called the world’s most powerful hybrid wheeled tractor. Coming in at almost 13 feet tall, the DX7004 features a dual-motor hybrid powertrain delivering peak torque of roughly 3,320 pound-feet.
Zoomlion also marketed the R2000-720 as the world’s largest tower crane in 2023. The crane can lift 500 cars to 130 floors. It features 20,000 tonne-meter torque, 720-ton capacity and 1,312-foot height.
