LiuGong’s New T Series Wheel Loaders Get Bigger Cabs, More Standard Features

LiuGong previewed the first of its next-generation T Series wheel loaders at ConExpo 2026, touting larger cabs, improved serviceability and more standard features.

“T Series Wheel Loaders were designed and built for the North American operator with three goals in mind: increasing production, comfort and uptime,” said Andrew Dargatz, wheel loader product manager for LiuGong.

The first two T Series models to hit the market will be the 3-yard-capacity 842T and 4.5-yard-capacity 856T. The 842T represents a new size class for the manufacturer, while the 856T is a revamp of its best-selling model worldwide.

Powered by a Cummins Tier 4 Final engine paired with a ZF five-speed transmission with a lock-up torque converter, the wheel loaders boast faster cycle times, a faster top-end roading speed of 25 mph and improved efficiency. Front and rear limited-slip differentials also provide better traction and reduced tire wear.

The cab has been redesigned for increased operator comfort, safety and productivity, offering a 30% increase in legroom and a 20% increase in visibility, the company says.

An adjustable, tiltable and telescopic steering wheel
Customizable EH controls with preset responsiveness settings and one-touch bucket shake
Speed- and gear-adjustable ride control
A 360-degree camera system with object detection
Heated and powered mirrors

All LiuGong midsized wheel loaders come standard with a bucket, forks and ISO coupler.

Serviceability has been improved with an auto-lubrication system, a programmable auto-reversing fan and ground-level service for all major daily checks. LED lighting has been installed near all key components and service points. “Operators can easily do their daily walkarounds in low light conditions. Technicians love it, too, when they’re doing their PM service,” says Dargatz.

LiuGong’s iLink Telematics system is now standard on any diesel-powered machine over 100 horsepower and all electric machines. It covers more than 250 machine data points and provides standard access to machine location. In addition, dealers can remotely access diagnostic information for troubleshooting and repairs.

The T Series wheel loaders will hit LiuGong dealer lots in the third quarter.

New Electric Wheel Loaders

In addition to the T Series lineup, LiuGong also teased two new battery loaders to the North American market: the 1.5-yard-capacity 820TE and the 7-yard-capacity 870HE.

The models sport the same improved cabs as the T Series, plus the benefits of a zero-emissions machine, including low noise, instant torque, lower operating costs and reduced maintenance. The electric loaders are designed for urban construction, indoor work and municipal projects.

“These batteries are already going over 20,000 hours in application. Our engineering team has confidence that they can make it to 40,000 hours,” said LiuGong North America President Andrew Ryan. “In that timeframe, there is no engine rebuild; there is no transmission rebuild. The 70% operating cost reduction is real.”

A comprehensive warranty covers the powertrain and hydraulics for up to 7,000 hours. The batteries are covered for five years or 10,000 hours with a guarantee not to derate more than 10%.
