A list of special occasion gifts curated from the 2025 Made in America Holiday Gift Guide.

There is a certain feeling you get when you have a special statement piece, the one you get excited about wearing when a special occasion arises. Companies that manufacture in America are a great place to look for that special something because they aren’t mindlessly mass-producing; they’re creating art! Finding the right companies for your “je ne sais quoi” piece just got a lot easier. The following list curated from our 2025 Made in America Holiday Gift Guide features companies from across the country that create noteworthy pieces you’ve been looking for all along!

Bags

In the historic town square of Chariton, Iowa, Jill’s Homestead is where Jill and her all-women team hand-make beautiful handbags, wallets, bracelets and leather earrings from full-grain, ethically sourced leather. What started as one woman’s love for creating has grown into a close-knit team sewing pieces that customers travel hours to buy. What stands out to me in Jill’s catalog is her cowhide collection. You can find real leather on these colorful products. Each high-quality bag has individual nuances.

These aren’t your run-of-the-mill handbags! TimberTote’s handcrafted purses made of birch wood are the perfect statement piece for your next night out. The company has a wide variety of clean and funky styles, as well as a few collegiate and fantasy collections. These purses are not designed to serve as an everyday catchall bag; they’re definitely statement piece. My personal favorite is Book Pages. You can read our in-depth profile of Arizona’s TimberTote here.

Meanwhile, leather goods company Howl + Hide makes all its products, front to back, in the small factory it owns in Indianapolis. This company offers handbags, backpacks, toiletry bags, totes, wallets, a really nice-looking duffel and even a jacket or two. It just released a Crocodile Collection, but it’s only available during the holiday season, so be sure to grab it before it runs out. This special collection features crocodile-embossed leather, so you’ll feel very cool with something from Howl + Hide hanging from your arm.

Jewelry

Give a gift of local waters with a Florida Agatized Coral Necklace from Caitlin Albritton Jewelry in Tampa. Coral necklaces are available in sterling and fine silver and come with a 20-inch sterling box chain. Another subtle but impactful statement piece is a great pair of earrings. Caitlin Albritton Jewelry has a great selection of them in many colors to dress up any outfit.

Midwinter is a Delaware jeweler founded by a husband-and-wife team in 2013 that focuses on wedding and engagement bands, but in their small shop, you can build any ring you want. Fully customizable. Earrings, bracelets and necklaces are all available too. The beautiful thing about Midwinter is they have a variety of stones, shapes and settings that break the mold of traditional jewelry. If you’re looking for a special gift, whether it be for a significant other or yourself, Midwinter is the place for statement fine jewelry. Check out the sapphire collection!

Trying to find something for him? JJ Weston has been making cufflinks for the last 20 years and it makes all of them here in Rhode Island. The cufflinks come in different styles for all personalities, careers and events. It also makes other suit accessories like money clips and tie tacks. Statement pieces don’t always need to be the first thing you see; an understated nod to your own personality can elevate a look just the same. Cufflinks in the knot collection are a great place to start.

Apparel

Focused on long-lasting, minimalist, timeless apparel, Sally Torres Vega manufactures slow fashion in Puerto Rico. This women’s apparel brand offers soft and feminine styles meant for all women. Its dedication to sustainability is strong, and the company even offers re-dyeing services for most garments. Each individual item is listed with what it’s made with and where it’s from. The company uses some Japanese textiles, but sources from the U.S. and Puerto Rico as much as possible. The boxy styles are clean and chic when paired as a statement piece to an outfit, like the Ada top!

Bonus pick!

Statement pieces aren’t only for wearable style, however. Our bonus pick is a fun pop in your kitchen to impress guests and add enjoyment to a night at home.

A cozy holiday toast by the fire deserves a glass as special as the moment. Each North Drinkware piece is handblown in Portland, Ore., with a detailed 3D mountain molded from actual U.S. Geological Survey data. It takes more than two days and over a dozen steps to craft every glass, making each a true work of art. With everything made in the USA from the glass to the packaging, these pieces are a perfect gift for anyone who loves the outdoors, great design or a beautiful way to raise a toast this season. Find a mountain that holds a special memory and bring it into your home with these tumblers. (Need help finding one? Here’s mine.)
