Metso Integrates Digital Services for Aggregates Production Monitoring

Renewed portfolio combines predictive maintenance, process monitoring, and centralized machine access to support data-driven aggregates operations and plant availability.  www.metso.com Aggregates production plants rely on continuous equipment availability and stable process control to maintain throughput in crushing and screening operations. In this context, Metso introduced a renewed digital services portfolio that integrates predictive maintenance, production monitoring, and centralized digital access for aggregates customers. Integrating digital tools for aggregates operations The updated portfolio consolidates Metso’s digital tools into a single offering intended to support equipment uptime, process visibility, and operational efficiency across crushing and screening plants. The portfolio includes three functional modules: AI-powered Predictive Maintenance, Production Performance, and MyMetso digital access. Together, these services provide real-time equipment data, remote monitoring, and analytics-based recommendations for aggregates operators and distributors. The system connects machine data with analytics tools to support decision-making related to maintenance, production performance, and fleet management. Such digital platforms are increasingly used in the aggregates sector to improve plant reliability and support data-driven maintenance strategies in high-throughput production environments. Predictive maintenance based on machine data The AI-powered Predictive Maintenance module analyzes live operational data from connected equipment to detect early indicators of component wear or abnormal behavior before failures occur. The service combines machine telemetry with Metso’s OEM expertise in crushing and screening equipment. Based on this data, the system generates maintenance recommendations that are delivered through the MyMetso digital platform. Machines equipped with Metso Metrics connectivity hardware can access predictive recommendations immediately. For older machines, upgrade kits are available to enable connectivity. The predictive maintenance approach allows operators to identify anomalies earlier, plan maintenance interventions in advance, and ensure spare parts are available before a service event occurs. Process monitoring and throughput optimization The Production Performance service focuses on improving plant productivity and operator visibility across the crushing process. Offered as a subscription-based service, it forms part of the Metso Plus offering for contractors. A key element of the system is Adaptive Feed Control (AFC), which adjusts the feed rate to crushers in multi-unit mobile crushing setups. The system minimizes “black belt” periods—times when conveyors run without material—and keeps crushers operating near their optimal load. Field measurements show that AFC can increase throughput by 5–15% depending on the application. The control software continuously adjusts operating parameters across the crushing train to stabilize production. Operator visibility is improved by providing plant load and level information directly inside the excavator or loader cabin. Additional functions include remote control capabilities, wireless interlocking between machines, and camera monitoring of plant sections. More stable plant operation also reduces idle time, contributing to lower fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions per tonne of processed material. Centralized digital access through MyMetso The MyMetso digital platform functions as a single access point for aggregates operators and distributors. It consolidates machine data, parts information, and service guidance within one interface. The platform uses role-based access so that operators, maintenance teams, and distributors receive information relevant to their tasks. Available features include equipment documentation linked to OEM parts data, fleet monitoring, maintenance recommendations, and service support. Direct access to machine information allows operators to identify required parts faster and perform troubleshooting more efficiently. For distributors, improved machine visibility supports faster service responses and customer support. Demonstration at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 Metso plans to present the renewed digital services portfolio at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 (March 3–7), taking place in Las Vegas, USA. The AI-powered Predictive Maintenance and MyMetso modules will be accessible globally, while Production Performance subscriptions will initially launch in North America and Europe, with additional regions scheduled to follow. www.metso.com Powered by Induportals Media Publishing

Metso Integrates Digital Services for Aggregates Production Monitoring

Aggregates production plants rely on continuous equipment availability and stable process control to maintain throughput in crushing and screening operations. In this context, Metso introduced a renewed digital services portfolio that integrates predictive maintenance, production monitoring, and centralized digital access for aggregates customers.

Integrating digital tools for aggregates operations
The updated portfolio consolidates Metso’s digital tools into a single offering intended to support equipment uptime, process visibility, and operational efficiency across crushing and screening plants.

Predictive maintenance based on machine data
The AI-powered Predictive Maintenance module analyzes live operational data from connected equipment to detect early indicators of component wear or abnormal behavior before failures occur.

Process monitoring and throughput optimization
The Production Performance service focuses on improving plant productivity and operator visibility across the crushing process.

More stable plant operation also reduces idle time, contributing to lower fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions per tonne of processed material.

Centralized digital access through MyMetso
The MyMetso digital platform functions as a single access point for aggregates operators and distributors.
