Husco, a privately owned Wisconsin supplier of hydraulic and electro-mechanical control systems, has agreed to acquire Michigan-based injection molder Mayfair Plastics, Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Mayfair Plastics, founded in 1952, employs about 130 people and operates 77 molding machines in more than 85,000 square feet of automated manufacturing space. Its plastic components are used in automotive parts and assemblies, including doors, locks, transmission solenoids, timing chain-related components, and underbody clips. The company also provides wire harness assembly, sonic welding, and component assembly services.
“Plastic components are becoming much more prevalent in the systems used by our customers to transform vehicles into advanced, connected instruments. Now, with Mayfair Plastics, Husco will offer a U.S.-based plastics design and manufacturing capability to directly deliver the USMCA compliant solutions our customers are seeking.”
Said Todd Zakreski, president of Husco’s automotive division.
Husco has been a customer of Mayfair Plastics since 2021, collaborating on plastic molding solutions for transmission solenoids.
Mayfair Plastics will continue operating from its Gaylord facility, and all employees will be retained. New projects will begin immediately, with full integration expected by the end of Husco’s fiscal 2026.
