The high-end solutions for grinding machines

At EMO 2025, Marposs will introduce several new technologies for the grinding sector, focusing on process control, vibration monitoring, and data management. These developments aim to support manufacturers in improving machining stability, component quality, and production traceability.

BALANCING AND MONITORING

The new OTX wheel monitoring and automatic balancing system delivers a compact, high‑performance solution tailored to the demands of modern grinding technology. Its streamlined design, higher operating speeds, and adaptable layout make it ideal for the latest generation of grinding machines.

With OTX, vibration is continuously monitored and automatically compensated. The system supports both single and dual‑plane balancers, including deterministic configurations, for maximum precision. Ultrasonic sensor signals are digitized and processed right at the source, preserving data integrity and providing clean information.

With its advanced capabilities, OTX is the ideal solution for any precision grinding application.

MEASUREMENT

Among the new measurement technologies on display, the PROTOMAR MINI is a compact in-process gauge designed for grinding machines. It provides real-time measurement of part dimensions during machining, helping to ensure consistent quality and reduce the need for post-process inspection.

Built on Marposs’ deep expertise in dimensional gauging, Protomar heads eliminate the need for rezeroing across multiple diameters, streamlining production and boosting efficiency.

Ideal for highly variable or complex production environments, the compact and precise PROTOMAR MINI is the perfect solution for flexible grinding setups.

DATA TRACING

The new RECORDING feature expands the functionality of the BLÚ monitoring and control system by enabling continuous acquisition and storage of process data. This allows users to trace machining conditions over time and supports in-depth analysis for process optimization.

Sensor signals are digitized and transmitted to the BLÚ MASTER, where the machine can execute dedicated recording cycles. The data collected can be exported to external supervision platforms, providing complete traceability of the grinding process.

With this feature, the BLÚ system brings its monitoring capabilities to the heart of the production line, opening the door to AI‑driven optimization and fully connected manufacturing.
