Prinoth says its new Grizzly M300e forestry mulcher, weighing in at 375 pounds, is “the lightest excavator mulcher in its class.”

Designed for mini excavators weighing 1.5 to 4 tons, the Grizzly M300e comes equipped with an 11- or 17-cc hydraulic motor to match the size class of the excavator while ensuring mulching performance. It can cut and mulch grass, brush shrubs or trees up to 4 inches in diameter.

The Grizzly M300e’s low-weight design reduces the risk of tipping while improving the maneuverability of the excavator, especially when working in confined spaces, on slopes or in urban environments, the company says.

The mulcher’s 11.8-inch rotor features Prinoth’s new ES compact tool. The single-edged, hardened blade can quickly shred material above ground level and can be easily replaced, thanks to its single-bolt fastening system, according to Prinoth.

A direct-drive system eliminates the need for a case drain line. Hydraulic connections are protected inside the housing, and the Hardox housing with replaceable Hardox skids reduces wear.

Additional features include:

Fixed thumb bracket: Helps move the material to be mulched. With the installation of a counterpart, a gripper can also be added to move the mulching material.
Universal adapter plate/interface: Capable of accepting a customized attachment bracket in three positions.
Protective chain curtain: Provides extra protection while mulching.
Protected hydraulic hoses: Hydraulic hoses and connections are integrated in the housing for more protection and reduction of downtimes.
Deflector: An adjustable deflector controls discharge of mulched material.
Integrated push bar: Used to direct vegetation.
