MaxiKraft, a German group specialising in crane services and heavy transport, has purchased 1,000 Liebherr cranes in a partnership spanning over three decades. Founded 33 years ago as a one-man business, MaxiKraft has expanded into a group of five companies, employing around 500 people across 26 locations.

Maik Kanitzky, a well-known German entrepreneur, founded the company in February 1992 in Züllsdorf, Brandenburg. With his vision, he progressively expanded the business, leading up to the most recent acquisition of KRANprofis Allgäu GmbH.

MaxiKraft’s fleet currently consists of around 200 mobile cranes and a large number of lattice boom cranes, with a lifting capacity of up to 1000 tonnes. The Liebherr cranes purchased over the years have lifting capacities ranging from 30 to 1000 tonnes. The group has continuously invested in new mobile and crawler cranes to keep the group’s fleet at the cutting edge of technology:

“We usually replace our mobile cranes every three years. Highly qualified employees, reliable partners and innovative machines – these are the key factors for our success. Liebherr has been providing us with the right technology and the necessary support for over three decades”

The company stated.

The MaxiKraft fleet features several Liebherr technologies designed to enhance crane safety and adaptability on-site, including VarioBase, VarioBallast, VarioTray, and the V-Frame system. These features contribute to smoother operations in daily work and reflect an ongoing focus on practical, efficiency-driven solutions.

Maik Kanitzky views long-term relationships as a cornerstone of the company’s growth, encompassing partnerships with suppliers, financial institutions, and the workforce itself. Training, internal development, and continuity have played a role in shaping the company culture, with many employees staying through acquisitions and internal career paths.
