KTR PRESENTS VAROLASTIC – ITS FIRST NON-LINEAR COUPLING
VAROLASTIC is a sturdy series of highly flexible flange couplings which is a particularly good choice for variable-speed main drives due to their progressive torsional stiffness. Developed to meet the highest demands, VAROLASTIC's adaptive response to different load conditions makes it the ideal choice for variable-speed main drives used in construction machinery and marine technology. From torsionally soft to resilient - a new highly flexible flange coupling The VAROLASTIC is a highly flexible flange coupling with progressive torsional stiffness. The slightly to moderately progressive torsional stiffness characteristic curve is achieved by special rollers made of synthetic elastomer and the innovative covex-concave contour execution. Due to these characteristics the coupling is very torsionally soft at a low operating loads or no-load operation. As the operating load increases, the torsion stiffness rises disproportionately. Highly flexible flange coupling with progressive torsional stiffness VAROLASTIC The two types of VAROLASTIC® F and VAROLASTIC® FD flange couplings differ in their anti-rotation feature. In the FD variant, this is achieved by a positive meshing (stop) within the coupling halves. In contrast to conventional solutions on the market, the directional coupling stops before the rollers can be overloaded or destroyed. The functionality, as well as the coupling itself, is protected. Even in rare cases of overload, the drive can continue to be operated without restrictions. VAROLASTIC® F: 0 - 6000 Nm / highly flexible flange couplings with progressive torsional stiffness VAROLASTIC® FD: 0 - 6000 Nm / highly flexible, fail-safe flange coupling with progressive torsional stiffness www.ktr.com Powered by Induportals Media Publishing
