Hitachi Construction Machinery Will Be “LANDCROS” from 2027

The 75-year-old company will transition to the new company name from April 2027.

Hitachi Construction Machinery is undergoing a rebrand process that will see its name officially changed to LANDCROS Corporation in the next two years. The collaboration with Hitachi, Ltd. will continue, ensuring a smooth exchange of technology and expertise between the two companies.

However, the name change to LANDCROS marks a new chapter in the company’s journey toward independence and innovation, reflecting its evolution from a former Hitachi Group member into a fully autonomous brand.

“This global rebrand signals the next phase of our company’s growth and commitment to our customers. While our name will change, our operations and dedication remain steadfast.”

The company stated to the media.

LANDCROS will continue operating as a Japanese company, with its core R&D and manufacturing functions remaining in Japan. The full operational chain, from production to sales, will stay intact, including all existing facilities, research centres, and employees.

All subsidiaries will adopt the new LANDCROS branding. For example, Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia will become LANDCROS Australia, in line with a group-wide rebranding strategy.

The transition from the dual branding will begin in April 2027 and take place over a 12-month period. From that point, all new orders will be delivered as LANDCROS machines, with the brand change fully completed by April 2028.
