Volvo Construction Equipment continues to expand its U.S. footprint — currently, more than 50 percent of its North American machines are being produced at its Shippensburg, Pennsylvania facility. Less than a year after announcing its plans to localize machine assembly, Volvo CE is delivering its first U.S.-built excavators and large wheel loaders. A total of 11 additional models will be produced in Pennsylvania, shortening lead times by more than six weeks.
