Bobcat has expanded the B730 M-Series backhoe loader line with a new variant featuring an AutoShift transmission, alongside other updates for selected markets in the Middle East and Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The AutoShift-equipped B730 M-Series is offered as a separate model, with the same transmission functionality used on the B730 R-Series. The system is designed to optimise gear changes during travel by automatically adjusting gearing to vehicle speed, load and terrain conditions. The expected benefits include better fuel efficiency, less operator fatigue and more consistent performance during site-to-site moves.

AutoShift is intended to simplify operation, improve comfort and support higher efficiency on the B730 M-Series. By removing the need for manual gear changes during travel, it reduces repetitive actions for the operator and helps keep attention on driving and loader work. The system continuously selects the most suitable gear based on operating conditions, which can translate into smoother travel, more consistent machine response and potentially quicker cycle times during typical loading and pushing tasks. The focus is on delivering repeatable performance without relying on the operator to manage gear selection.
Bobcat has also refreshed the B730 M-Series cab and operator environment, with a set of comfort-focused changes rolling out in key regions. Tinted windows are scheduled to be available from March 2026, aimed at reducing direct sunlight in the cab and improving thermal comfort. The operator area also gets improved fit and finish, while a wider door opening angle increases entry space for easier access. For fleet users, a unified Bobcat common key is now standard on the model, aligning the B730 M-Series with other machines in the brand’s line-up.
