XCarb® Technology for Sustainable Steel Solutions

A key focus at Bauma will be the ongoing decarbonization of steel solutions. By implementing technological advancements, ArcelorMittal is able to provide its entire product range with a significantly reduced carbon footprint while maintaining high quality. Steels produced under the XCarb® initiative can achieve up to an 81% reduction in CO2 emissions, depending on the product.

These steels are manufactured using an electric arc furnace (EAF) with a high recycled content and powered entirely by renewable electricity. Many of these products align with the principles of the circular economy, allowing for multiple reuse cycles and full recyclability at the end of their lifecycle. ArcelorMittal’s XCarb® initiative integrates all decarbonization efforts, aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050.

Showcasing Innovations in Sheet Piling and Wire Solutions

At Stand 338 in Hall C5, ArcelorMittal’s sheet piling division will highlight advanced foundation solutions designed for climate resilience. As climate change intensifies the need for flood and coastal protection, a featured presentation, Sheet Piles Can Save Lives, will illustrate the role of engineered sheet piling systems in safeguarding against natural hazards.

A comparative study on underground car parks in Germany will be presented, emphasizing the advantages of the EcoSheetPile™ Plus range over alternative materials. Additionally, SmartSheetPile technology will be introduced, demonstrating the integration of sensors, digital twins, and artificial intelligence to enhance safety, durability, and reliability.

Also at Stand 338, the wire solutions division will display high-performance hoist and mining ropes. These products not only meet the highest safety standards but also offer a significantly reduced CO2 footprint. Visitors will have the opportunity to examine various hoist and mining rope models in detail.

Innovative Steel Solutions in Sheets, Plates, and Tubes

At Stand 518 in Hall A6, ArcelorMittal’s specialists in sheets, plates, and tubes will showcase their latest product developments. Among the highlights will be Creusabro®, an exceptionally wear-resistant steel offering up to twice the lifespan of conventional water-quenched steels.

Also on display will be the Amstrong® and Relia® steel grades, available in multiple dimensions and thicknesses to accommodate diverse customer needs. Additionally, experts in steel tubular solutions will present structured hollow sections and precision tubes tailored for demanding construction and engineering applications.
