- Briefly introduce your company and outline the key metal forming machines, technologies, or solutions you offer to the sheet metal industry.
Magal Engineering Co. India Pvt. Ltd. is an engineering solutions provider serving the sheet metal and metal forming industry in India. We work closely with established global principals to offer advanced metal forming machines, automation systems, and application-focused solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Our portfolio includes mechanical and servo press machines, coil handling and feeding systems, press automation, and process support solutions for stamping and forming applications. In addition to equipment supply, we support customers with machine selection, technical evaluation, installation, commissioning, and after-sales service, ensuring reliable long-term performance.
- What are the standout machines or systems in your portfolio, and how do they address current challenges such as productivity, precision, automation, or cost efficiency?
Some of the standout systems in our portfolio include Henkel Sonderhoff dispensing and sealing solutions and INGYU press automation and peripheral systems, both of which directly address key challenges faced by the sheet metal and manufacturing industry today.
Henkel Sonderhoff systems are widely used for FIPFG/FIPG sealing, gasketing, and potting applications, offering high precision, repeatability, and process reliability. These systems help customers improve product quality and consistency, reduce material wastage, and achieve cost efficiency through controlled dispensing. They are especially effective in addressing challenges related to sealing integrity, automation of manual processes, and long-term durability, making them suitable for automotive, electrical, and enclosure applications.
INGYU systems complement press operations through automation, feeding, and auxiliary solutions that enhance overall line productivity and operational efficiency. By integrating these systems with press machines, customers are able to achieve higher throughput, improved accuracy, reduced operator dependency, and safer operations, while optimizing floor space and operating costs.
- What key trends do you see shaping the global and Indian metal forming and sheet metal industry today (e.g., automation, digitalization, sustainability, smart factories)?
The global and Indian metal forming and sheet metal industry is undergoing rapid transformation driven by automation, digitalization, and smart manufacturing. Manufacturers are increasingly adopting Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT-enabled machines, real-time data monitoring, and predictive maintenance, to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance process reliability. Automation and robotics are being widely implemented to address labor challenges, improve precision, and ensure consistent quality. At the same time, there is a strong focus on sustainability and energy efficiency, with customers seeking machines and processes that reduce material waste, optimize energy consumption, and support environmentally responsible manufacturing. Additionally, growing demand for high-precision components, flexible production systems, and advanced materials is shaping equipment design and process innovation across industries such as automotive, electrical, and general engineering.
- What recent innovations, new products, or technological solutions has your company launched in the past few years? How do these offerings add value to customers?
In recent years, we have introduced Henkel Sonderhoff’s advanced chemical and dispensing solutions and EDPS press machines into our portfolio — both adding significant value to customers.
Henkel Sonderhoff’s chemical systems bring cutting-edge Formed-In-Place Foam Gasket (FIPFG) technology to sealing, bonding, and potting applications. These include tailored polyurethane, silicone, and epoxy sealing and adhesive formulations designed for precision, durability, and environmental compliance. When combined with automated dosing machines, these systems improve productivity, reduce material waste through exact dosing, and deliver consistent high-quality seals critical for automotive, electronics, HVAC, and other industries. The result is enhanced reliability, reduced cycle times, and lower cost per part.
On the press equipment side, EDPS press machines from Zhejiang Yiduan represent high-precision, high-speed metal stamping and forming presses. These machines feature robust structural designs, precision clutch/brake systems, and advanced control interfaces (including electronic cams and PLC controls), enabling stable, accurate, and efficient production across various metal forming tasks. Their reliability and adaptability make them well-suited for diverse applications while helping customers improve throughput and maintain consistent quality.
Together, these offerings enhance customer competitiveness by improving precision, automation, productivity, and cost-efficiency in modern manufacturing environments.
- How do you envision the future of the Indian metal forming and sheet metal industry over the next 5–10 years, and what role will your company play in that growth?
Over the next 5–10 years, the Indian metal forming and sheet metal industry is expected to grow significantly, driven by automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 adoption, including robots, real-time monitoring, AI, and predictive maintenance to improve productivity, precision, and quality. Manufacturers are increasingly integrating smart manufacturing technologies to optimize workflows, reduce downtime, and enhance operational efficiency. There is also strong demand for lightweight and high-strength components in sectors such as automotive, EVs, renewable energy, construction, and infrastructure, accelerating the adoption of advanced forming techniques and cold-roll forming processes. Sustainability and energy-efficient processes will become more important as companies aim to reduce waste and environmental footprint. India’s infrastructure investments and manufacturing initiatives further support this growth trajectory.
Magal Engineering will play a key role by enabling customers to adopt advanced press machines, automation solutions, and precision tooling, helping them transition to smarter, more efficient, and competitive manufacturing operations.
