Chairatchakarn Bangkok (CHAB), the official dealer for Volvo Construction Equipment in Thailand, has opened a new branch in Rama II, Bangkok, strengthening its support network in the capital and central provinces.
“The new Rama II branch represents our commitment to providing stronger, faster, and more accessible support,” said CHAB CEO Nunnapin Petcharapirat.
More than 70 industry guests attended the roadshow. CHAB confirmed multiple machine sales on-site, including the first EC360 in the country — a heavy-duty model designed for high-efficiency operations in tough job sites.

A Strategic Move for Central Thailand
The new Rama II facility expands CHAB’s ability to serve a region that continues to see strong activity in roadbuilding, commercial development, and quarrying. It also supports Volvo CE’s broader strategy of placing machines and service closer to high-growth markets.
“CHAB is an exceptional partner for Volvo CE in Thailand,” said Raven Chua, Head of Market West, Volvo CE. “Their new facility in Rama II is a step forward in delivering premium support to our customers.”
Following strong feedback, CHAB has placed additional orders for three more EC360 units to support upcoming mining and quarrying projects.
Thailand’s Excavator Market: Ripe for Growth
Thailand’s construction equipment market is expected to reach USD 1.55 billion by 2030, with excavators holding the largest share. According to Mordor Intelligence, demand is especially strong in infrastructure, mining, and industrial segments.
Volvo’s EC360 — part of its “New Generation” platform — is equipped with smarter hydraulics, upgraded operator interfaces, and fuel-efficient systems aimed at lowering total cost of ownership.
The EW145B Prime, also on display, offers a compact, wheeled solution for tight urban or roadside worksites — combining mobility with class-leading comfort and performance.
