Tadano’s Japan-made MEWPs will launch in the U.S. and Canada in late 2025, backed by Tadano’s trusted sales and service network for reliable support. Tadano, a global leader in lifting solutions, is bringing its expertise to the United States and Canadian mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) markets with a new lineup of high-performance boom lifts. Building on the company’s renowned reputation in the crane sector, this expansion introduces a full range of models engineered for superior stability, safety, and efficiency. The MEWP lineup will include wheeled and crawler chassis configurations, designed to deliver maximum performance in diverse work environments. These machines provide maximum platform stability and versatility to enhance safety and productivity on the job site. The introduction of its MEWP range to the U.S. and Canada is also an outcome of Tadano’s strategic acquisitions of both Nagano Industry Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of self-propelled crawler boom lifts previously available in Japan and Europe, and most recently, Manitex International. The combination of Tadano’s lifting expertise and Nagano’s crawler boom technology has resulted in the most-extensive range of boom lifts offered to the market with a traditional crawler chassis, purpose-built to address applications that require the sensitivity only crawlers can handle. Articulated and Telescopic Crawler Series Drawing from its decades of experience in the crane market, Tadano knows crawlers. Tadano’s crawler models offer superior stability while handling the most challenging terrains, including mud and sand, with a maximum 5-degree tilt capability. AS-58CJ: This jibbed version has a 57-ft 9-in (17.6-m) platform height with a 40-ft 2-in (12.2 m) outreach and offers dual platform capacities of 750 lbs (340 kg) / 550 lbs (250 kg). With its steel tracks and grey non-marking pads, it delivers 6.86 psi travel position ground pressure. AS-58C: Offering dual lifting capacities of 990 lbs (450 kg) / 550 lbs (250 kg) , this model has a 58-ft 1-in (17.7-m) platform height and a 50-ft 6-in (15.4-m) outreach. Featuring steel tracks with grey non-marking pads, it provides 5.8 psi travel position ground pressure, and it is powered by a 32-hp (23.9-kW) Kubota D1803 engine. AS-42CJ: Featuring a jib for increased positioning versatility for areas that are challenging to access, this unit offers maximum platform capacity of 550 lbs (250 kg) and travel ground pressure of 6.77 psi. AS-42C: This mid-range telescopic crawler boom with a 41-ft 8-in (12.7-m) platform height and a 36-ft 9-in (11.2 m) outreach features a dual-platform capacity of 990 lbs (450 kg) / 550 lbs (250 kg). It has steel tracks with grey non-marking pads that allow for 6.53 psi travel position ground pressure, and it is powered by a 23.5-hp (17.5-kW) Kubota D1305 engine.
