Southern Group is the First Customer in Thailand to Receive Volvo’s New EC360 Excavators

Volvo Construction Equipment, in collaboration with its authorised dealer Chairatchakarn Bangkok (CHAB), has taken a significant step in the Thai market with the delivery of the first two next-generation EC360 excavators.

The machines were delivered to Southern Group, a company primarily active in the mining and quarrying sectors, with numerous projects across various regions of Thailand and a strong presence in the southern part of the country. With this delivery, Southern Group becomes the first customer in Thailand to operate the 36-tonne model, designed to handle demanding tasks in excavation and heavy earthmoving operations.

The supply reaffirms CHAB’s role as a reliable partner capable of supporting large-scale, high-intensity operations with complete fleet solutions. The shipment also included one EC210 and one EC220 excavator, both models previously introduced to the Thai market with success by CHAB. This agreement further strengthens the partnership between Southern Group and Volvo CE.

The new EC360s fit perfectly into this context, offering robust structure, optimised fuel consumption, and high productivity, key features for operations in challenging environments.

This latest delivery follows a series of successful launches of Volvo CE’s new-generation models, supported by customer engagement events and initiatives organised throughout the year to boost interest and interaction.
