Liebherr has expanded the digital capabilities of its Generation 8 dozers, introducing full compatibility with Unicontrol’s 3D machine control systems.
Through the new Liebherr Unicontrol Easy Link, contractors can now equip their PR 716 to PR 756 G8 dozers with blade-mounted GPS/GNSS control for automated and highly precise grading.

The integration reflects Liebherr’s focus on improving jobsite efficiency through intuitive digital solutions. By combining the company’s durable dozer platforms with Unicontrol’s accessible software, operators can benefit from smoother workflows and reduced setup time without compromising machine performance.
“Unicontrol is now a direct option for those looking to activate automatic grade control on their Liebherr machines,” said Martin Kirkmand, Product Development Director at Unicontrol. “It’s a significant step that reflects the industry’s move toward more flexible technology that works the way contractors need it to.”
Available for New and Existing Dozers
The Easy Link connection can be installed on both new models and existing Generation 8 dozers already in service. Activation requires enabling the software interface in Liebherr’s control system, a straightforward electrical connection to the Unicontrol unit, and cab preparation for the Unicontrol display.
This flexibility allows fleet owners to upgrade their equipment without replacing machines, extending the lifespan and digital readiness of their assets.
Unicontrol: Simplifying 3D Machine Control
Founded in 2019 in Odense, Denmark, Unicontrol has quickly built a strong reputation for developing user-friendly 2D and 3D machine control solutions. The company’s systems, known for fast setup and intuitive operation, are now used across Europe, North America, and Australia, with notable adoption in Scandinavia’s construction sector.
Liebherr’s Digital Drive
The partnership underscores Liebherr’s continued investment in digitalization and operator support technologies. With this integration, the Group aims to make advanced automation more accessible to contractors seeking a balance between reliability and ease of use.
The Liebherr Group, headquartered in Kirchdorf an der Iller, Germany, remains one of the world’s largest manufacturers of construction equipment.
