JCB Hydromax prepares for FIA world record attempt
JCB has set a Southern California Timing Association (SCTA) speed record with its hydrogen-powered Hydromax streamliner at the Bonneville Salt Flats, reaching 368.347mph in what serves as a warm-up for an outright FIA world record attempt which iVT International will be reporting on next week. Driven by Wing Commander Andy Green OBE, the car set the record in the SCTA’s Blown Gas Streamliner (AA/BGS, 500+ cubic inches) class at 8:50am (MDT), recording a speed of 368.347mph.
