The technology area at Hitachi Construction Machinery’s CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 stand will feature its work with Sodex, Teleo and Veristart, the three startups that won the 2024 Hitachi Construction Machinery Challenge. Since the awards, Hitachi has collaborated with them, focusing on two pressure points for contractors: labour availability and easier access to machine operation.

Visitors will be able to test the Assist Pro AI tool and leave feedback, and the stand will also present a semi-autonomous excavator system designed to learn repetitive tasks from an operator. Other displays include a new Machine Guidance system aimed at improving on-site accuracy, plus LANDCROS Connect for machine monitoring and an Autonomous Haulage Solution for mining trucks, both positioned around tighter fleet oversight and operational control.

On display will be a mix of excavators, wheel loaders and compact machines, paired with a broad selection of attachments to show how the line-up can be configured for different jobsite tasks.
