HD Hyundai Infracore has launched its new DX15 generator engine. The newly unveiled DX15 is the fifth model in the company’s latest electronic generator engine line-up, the DX Series.

Powered by a 15.1-litre V8 configuration, the DX15 engine delivers between 457 and 662 kWm, complying with EPA Tier 2 and Tier 3 emissions standards, making it a viable option across multiple international markets. Compared to similarly sized mechanical engines, it offers a 16% boost in output, thanks to a combination of high-efficiency combustion and an electronically controlled fuel injection system.
Despite its relatively compact design, the DX15 stands out for its power density and steady performance. Electronic control helps maintain speed stability and reliability, while the engine’s durable build supports sustained operation under demanding conditions.
“The official launch of the DX15 completes our full line-up up to 1 MW of electronic generator engines. With its powerful performance, eco-friendly technology and proven durability, the DX15 is set to earn customer trust and satisfaction across the global generator market and diverse application sites. We will continue to expand our line-up into the 1 MW+ large-scale engine segment, leading the global generator engine market”
said Hyungtaek Lim, Executive Vice President and Head of Engine Sales at HD Hyundai Infracore’s Engine division.
Compatible with eco-friendly fuels such as HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) and GTL (gas-to-liquid), the DX15 can run for up to 500 hours without requiring an oil refill, helping to cut maintenance intervals and operating costs.
In March, HD Hyundai Infracore also introduced a marine variant of the DX15, built on the same platform. This version delivers between 551 and 870 horsepower and complies with IMO Tier 2, IMO Tier 3, and EPA Tier 3 regulations, reinforcing the company’s position in the marine engine segment through proven emissions performance and engineering versatility.
