Presidents’ Day weekend is famous for furniture sales. Consider buying from a domestic brand.
Back in September, we rounded up a list of seven American-made furniture companies for you to check out. But there are so many incredible Made in USA furniture manufacturers that we knew we couldn’t just stop there. We recently highlighted Gat Creek Furniture on our Manufacturing Report podcast, and it got us thinking about how we can continue to boost these companies doing awesome things. Here’s seven more furniture brands that produce their pieces here in the United States.
Sonoma Restorations
Northern California is wine country, and the vineyards there go through a lot of barrels. And often after they’re used they’re broken down, destroying the history behind them and contributing to waste. That’s why the folks behind Sonoma Restorations decided to use castoffs from wine and spirit production in all their furniture. Each piece is made to order by U.S. artisans. You’ll find tables, wall racks and even some lamps on the site. These would make a perfect addition to an in-home bar. The company is based in Santa Rosa, Calif., but sources castoffs from as far as Kentucky distilleries.
Roseland
Have you ever wished you could own a chair that was in George Washington’s home? How about an original Adirondack chair? You might not be able to own these exact pieces, but thanks to Roseland, you can have the next best thing. Its products are modeled after classic pieces of American furniture, whether it be a 19th century New York table or an 18th century dresser found in the MET. The company exclusively works with American suppliers and furniture makers from across the country. These are truly heirloom pieces meant to be passed down and Roseland’s warranty policy reflects that, guaranteeing repairs for as long as they remain in business. It’s a great way to put a little history in your home.
Roger + Chris

Roger Hazard of A&E’s Sell This House fame has had a lot of experience with the furniture industry. He’s also witnessed firsthand the impacts outsourcing has had on the industry’s workers. So, after leaving television in 2011, Roger and his husband Chris decided to start their own furniture company. Roger + Chris was one of the first online-only furniture brands, and they’re still going strong today. Their specialty is sofas, and they make a ton of different options for you to choose from. The company is based in Omaha, Neb., but all the furniture is made in two factories in Hickory, N.C. Plus, for each sofa built, Roger + Chris plants a tree in North Carolina and surrounding states! Quality sofas you can feel good about buying.
Emeco
Emeco got its start all the way back in 1944, making industrial-strength chairs for the U.S. Navy. But it wasn’t until 1998 when the company realized that the unique designs for these chairs could appeal to non-military customers. Today, Emeco continues to make the original and iconic Navy chairs in Hanover, Penn. It also make other designs, such as lounge chairs and stools. Each piece reflects Emeco’s commitment to sustainability (many of its chairs are made with recycled materials) and domestic manufacturing.
Stickley
American Craftsman is one of the country’s most iconic design styles. Often associated with California, it developed from the Arts and Crafts movement and was a response to the rise of mass production. One of the early leaders of the American Craftsman movement, which emphasizes a more rugged look and simple designs, was manufacturer and designer Gustav Stickley and, in his honor, his brothers founded Stickley furniture. Stickley continues to produce American Craftsmen style furniture pieces to this day, emphasizing simplicity and dedicated craftsmanship. You’ll need to check labels; not everything Stickley sells is American-made. However, over 90% of it is made in Manlius, N.Y. or Archdale, N.C.
Loll Designs
We’ve discussed plenty of indoor furniture options. But what if you’re looking to build your patio with outdoor Made in America furniture? First, be sure to check out our blog on patio furniture for a full list of options. But we’ve also got to shout out Loll Designs. Named after the term “lollygagging,” these relaxing couches, Adirondack chairs and more will help you idle around in the warmer months. The company started out as a manufacturer of skate parks in the 90s before shifting gears to focus on creating these high-quality pieces. All of Loll’s pieces are made with recycled plastic, and sustainability is a major part of the company’s mission (it even recycle more than 88% of its own manufacturing waste!). And it’s all made in Duluth, Minn.!
Simple Wood Goods
If you happen to be into vinyl, you’ll know that storing your record player and LPs requires a furniture piece of its own. For those looking for a stylish way to show off their collection, Simple Wood Goods is a great fit. The company offers five components for vinyl storage, so you can purchase all of them or pick and choose which ones work for you. Plus, several of their products are multi-purpose. That means even if you’re not a vinyl person, these shelves can be a great fit for your home. The small company is based in Cincinnati, where all its pieces are made.
BONUS
Although we featured them in our last furniture blog, we wanted to give Gat Creek Furniture another shout-out. They’re located in Berkley Springs, W. Va., in the heart of the Appalachian Forest. The company is dedicated to real sustainable manufacturing: All of Gat Creek’s furniture is made from wood sourced nearby by a select few suppliers. Gat Creek also uses safer and more environmentally friendly materials to finish its furniture. As a fun touch, whenever you buy a Gat Creek piece, it will be hand signed by the builder who helped make it to order just for you. Gat Creek just opened a new factory last year, so be sure to support this manufacturer that is 100% committed to Made in America! And be sure to check out our podcast interview with founder and owner Gat Caperton here.
