The aerial work platform maker will seal a capsule at its Bothell headquarters in November, with messages, memories and photos from operators and partners
Genie celebrated its 60th anniversary on 12 September 2026, marking six decades of building aerial work platforms and material lifts for customers around the world.
Rather than a single event, the Terex brand has chosen to mark the date with something more participative. In November, Genie will seal a time capsule in the lobby of its global headquarters in Bothell, Washington, USA. Customers, suppliers, equipment operators and industry partners are invited to submit a message, a memory or a photo for consideration.
The initiative ties in with the theme Genie has used throughout its anniversary year: quality, innovation and partnership with customers. For a brand whose machines are part of daily life on construction sites, in warehouses and in rental yards, the stories of the people who use them are a fitting thing to put away for the next generation.
The anniversary has run through the 2026 trade show season, with Genie using its main exhibitions to present its latest products under the 60-year banner.
