Finse Oy Appoints New S&M Director to Accelerate European Growth

Finse Oy, a Finnish manufacturer specialising in tube and pipe systems for heavy vehicles, has appointed Marko Könönen as its new Sales and Marketing Director.

Based in Hamburg, Germany, he will be responsible for strengthening Finse’s market presence among European OEMs and driving the company’s next phase of growth.

We are pleased to welcome Marko to our leadership team,” said Antti Hyppönen, CEO of Finse Oy. “His strategic mindset and broad industrial experience will support Finse as we continue to evolve as a reliable partner for the off-road machinery industry.”

“It’s an exciting time to join Finse,” added Könönen. “Sustainability, efficiency, and reliability are transforming the off-road sector. My focus will be on turning strategic goals into measurable growth by deepening customer relationships and expanding Finse’s presence across key European markets.”

A Growing Partner for OEM Manufacturers

Founded in 1989 and based in Lievestuore, central Finland, Finse Oy serves leading off-road OEMs in the construction, mining, forestry, and agricultural sectors. The company manufactures exhaust, hydraulic, and water pipe systems designed for heavy vehicles operating in demanding conditions.

Finse’s production facilities employ around 50 professionals and the company’s core expertise lies in precision tube bending, welding, and assembly, handling diameters from 28 mm up to 154 mm with tight bend radii. Finished components undergo 3D scanning to ensure tolerances as fine as 0.06 mm.

Finse’s client base includes several major global OEMs, with long-term collaborations in Europe’s heavy equipment industry. One example is its partnership in supplying SCR exhaust gas-cleaning components used in London’s iconic red double-decker buses, through a cooperation with Finnish clean-tech company Proventia.

Strategic Outlook Under New Leadership

Under Könönen’s management, Finse aims to expand its European footprint and align more closely with evolving OEM needs—particularly in sustainability, emission control, and digitalized manufacturing. His location in Hamburg allows close interaction with major European OEM hubs in Germany, France, and the Nordics.

The company has recently emphasized its flexibility and customer-oriented model: small enough to respond rapidly to customer needs, yet large enough to handle serial production and redundant operations.
