Doosan Bobcat and Wacker Neuson end acquisition talks

Construction OEMs Doosan Bobcat and Wacker Neuson have confirmed that discussions regarding a potential majority stake acquisition have ended and will not continue. On 2 December, Wacker Neuson had stated that Doosan Bobcat was considering acquiring 63% of its shares from major shareholders, and launching an all-cash public takeover offer to remaining shareholders. The talks, which Wacker Neuson described in December as “advanced discussions”, were formally terminated on 22 January. Both OEMs have confirmed they will maintain focus on their respective 2030 growth strategies following the end of discussions.
