Develon has appointed newly formed GOS Plant Services as its authorised dealer across key regions of Wales: East and South Wales, as well as Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Powys and Ceredigion. The company, based in Blaenavon, will be responsible for the sales, service and support of the full Develon construction equipment portfolio, including crawler, wheeled and mini/midi excavators, wheel loaders, articulated dump trucks and dozers.
GOS Plant Services draws on the engineering heritage of GOS Tool and Engineering Services Ltd, a privately owned business set to mark 60 years in operation this April. The wider GOS Engineering group is known for designing and converting excavators and specialist machines for road-rail use, and for manufacturing railway equipment including rail trailers, trolleys, sleeper layers, lifting beams, cable-handling systems and grabs.
The appointment follows a long-standing relationship with Develon dating back to the Daewoo and Doosan periods. According to GOS Tool and Engineering Services, it has converted more than 200 Develon excavators for road-rail use over the years, supplying both the UK market and overseas customers.
GOS Plant Services has been set up as a dedicated dealer operation, with a focus on sales and aftersales support. The company operates from a 30,000 m² facility with on-site storage and engineering capacity, supported by a service team handling emergency call-outs as well as planned maintenance.
GOS Plant Services will provide service and warranty support for all existing Develon machines within its territory, supported by a full range of genuine Develon parts and accessories. Flexible service agreements will be available to suit individual customer requirements, alongside rapid response on-site support from experienced service engineers. In addition, the dealership will hold stocks of new and used Develon machines, enabling fast turnaround and immediate availability to meet customer demand.
