Cat has acquired RPMGlobal Holdings Limited, an Australian-based mining software company, to help customers plan, manage, and operate their sites more efficiently.

Back in October 2025, Caterpillar announced its agreement to acquire RPMGlobal. Headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, the company provides data-driven technology and software solutions across the mining value chain. By combining the Australian company’s software capabilities with Caterpillar’s established equipment, new opportunities would be created to support customers and improve performance at mine sites, according to Denise Johnson, Group President of Caterpillar Resource Industries.

“Acquiring RPMGlobal is a notable milestone supporting our strategy to solve the challenges our mining customers face every day.”

Adds Denise Johnson. Richard Mathews, CEO of RPMGlobal, said that, given the complementary nature of the two companies’ technology offerings, Caterpillar was an ideal home for both its people and its software products. RPMGlobal will continue to offer products and services under the RPMGlobal brand.
