BGLift Unveils Cocco50 Transporter for Confined Job Sites

BGLift, an Italian crane manufacturer, has launched its latest machine: the Cocco50 Transporter, engineered for optimal performance in tight and challenging environments.

The name is inspired by the crocodile, an animal known for its strength and adaptability, traits that shaped the development of this model. The Cocco50 Transporter has high movement control, without compromising stability and safety, characteristics that make it well-suited for tight places, both indoors and outdoors.

The machine is radio-controlled and consists of a tracked undercarriage and a mobile platform that can adjust in height and tilt independently: up to about 8° transversely and 5° longitudinally. The mechanism that moves the platform is based on three support points, a solution that simplifies mechanics while ensuring great precision, assisted by advanced sensors developed in-house by BGLift..

The hydraulic system has been engineered to handle movement across sloped terrain, supported by a 105 kW engine. It also provides the power needed to operate hydraulic equipment installed on the platform, allowing for a range of potential applications.

The project required hard work to develop a precise and versatile machine:

“The real challenge was combining versatility with safety. Every work configuration involves different loads and conditions, and Cocco50 has been designed to handle them all without compromise”.

Explained Fabio di Minico, head of BGLift’s technical office.

The model places BGLift’s focus on specialised handling equipment for demanding environments, addressing the need for both mobility and control in confined job sites, in line with real market and customer requirements.
