You’ve still got some time!

Teens and tweens can be a hard group to shop for. As kids get older they grow into their unique selves, meaning general gift lists might not be as helpful as they used to be. Plus, nowadays things marketed toward teens are often poor-quality items that will fall apart in only a few months.

That’s where we come in. While we can’t promise every teen interest will be covered in the following list – curated from our 2025 Made in America Gift List and its earlier annual installments – we’ve gone through common teen asks and found an American-made option for each.

CLOTHES/SHOES

Lots of teens love new athletic shoes. Sure, many will be sporting Nike or UnderArmour, but why not go with a unique option? Made+ is just that. Based in Annapolis, Md., all of its shoes are made with 100% recycled yarn — and that yarn is made from repurposed plastic water bottles. These shoes come in all sorts of designs; they even sell shoes specially designed for pickleball. Looking for a different style? Blkswn has you covered. They make stylish American-made sneakers, working in partnership with startup footwear manufacturer Shloop in Meridian, Miss. Blkswn is bringing manufacturing closer to home and making quality shoes more sustainable.

If your teenager is insistent on a brand name, not to fret. There’s one big-name athletic shoe brand still manufacturing in the United States: New Balance. Not everything it sells is domestically produced, but head to the Made in USA section of its website and you’ll find a plethora of shoes and even apparel that’s made in New Balance factories across New England.

Are your teens sports fans? Specifically, are they fans of Philadelphia sports? If so, you’re in luck: Two companies on the 2025 gift guide specialize in all things Philly sports. Boathouse has a wide variety of options (even some for those of us not blessed to be from the City of Brotherly Love) that are very youthful and fun. Underdog, meanwhile, will be especially cool to any Jason Kelce fans since the company was founded by the former Philadelphia Eagles center. Although there’s some plain wardrobe staples, Underdog’s latest collection is all Eagles.

American Giant

If you’re looking to further expand your teen’s wardrobe with some high-quality clothes, GETTEES is another great choice. From its factory in Sterling Heights, Mich., GETTEES makes timeless essentials using premium U.S.-grown Supima cotton and fabrics sourced from American mills. And of course, we have to shout out Goodwear and American Giant, two clothing companies that are 100% dedicated to American manufacturing. Both companies make simple clothes, so you’ll be sure to find something that will work for your teen.

Finally, lots of teens love a good baseball cap. Whatever team your teen is a fan of, you’ll find a Sandlot Goods hat to represent it. The vintage style of these Kansas City, Mo.-made hats means they’ll never go out of style. Not everything Sandlot Goods sells is Made in the US, so be sure to check labels!

SKINCARE/BEAUTY PRODUCTS

Did you know a lot of beauty products are made here in the US? Because such products sold here must adhere to FDA regulations (while other countries have different rules), companies often find it easier to make them here too. That’s great for anyone shopping for beauty and skincare this season! Here’s our picks from the 2025 Gift Guide for this common teen ask:

Alaska Glacial Essentials Skincare draws from its surrounding beauty in Cordova, Alaska, to enhance the quality of the products they make there. This company sources glacial minerals and botanicals for gentle but effective formulas, and all its products are vegan and cruelty-free. Note that not all the company’s products are Made in Alaska, so be sure to check product descriptions.

New Hampshire is known for its natural beauty and Badger Balm is keeping it that way with its sustainable manufacturing practices. You’ll find lip balms, body oils, hair care and more from Badger Balm, made with all-natural ingredients. These make for a great stocking stuffer! (As a note, Badger Balm does source components from around the world).

Quality you can feel good about giving. Massachusetts’ Firsthand Supply makes U.S.-crafted hair and body products that combine clean ingredients with timeless design. With sustainable packaging and formulas that actually work, these make thoughtful holiday gifts that look sharp and feel even better.

SPORTS/RECREATION

Got a skateboarder? We’ve got two Made in America skateboard companies to check out! Utah’s Ghost Boards is a longboard and skateboard manufacturer based in Pleasant Grove. What sets them apart is their non-slip acrylic decks. Not all the products are Made in America as the company distributes for other skating brands, but everything listed as made by Ghost Boards or Jaseboards is Made in America (and they have plenty).

Does your skater love Avatar: The Last Airbender? How about Batman? South Park? The skateboards from Bear Walker are built around these themes and more. They’re custom made on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and make a super cool gift for any teen.

What if your teenager is more into boards of the snow variety? You’re in luck: Check out Denver’s Never Summer snowboards. Each board combines innovative hybrid camber technology with decades of craftsmanship to deliver unmatched performance on the slopes. Or, consider Pennsylvania’s Gilson snowboard for more colorful designs.

Finally, we’ve also got some recommendations for any teen bikers in your life. A mountain or winter biker will appreciate Wisconsin’s Wyatt Bicycles, a leader in the return of American-made bikes. The company handcrafts mountain and fat bikes from 100% U.S.-made aluminum, an uncommon stand in an industry where nearly all bikes are produced overseas. If your teen prefers to bike on the beach, the coastal cruisers from Emory Bicycles will be the best pick. Emory Bicycles invented the coastal cruiser, and the Florida company builds bikes that are meant to last.

JEWELRY

It can be hard to find jewelry youthful enough for teens. We think these two made in America options strike the perfect balance between elegant and youthful.

In downtown Eau Claire, Wisc., Hello Adorn is the small dream that became something beautiful. Their collection of earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings offer simple, modern pieces that make thoughtful gifts for the season.

From her home studio in Minot, N.D., Amanda of Clay & Fern Co. handcrafts jewelry from polymer clay. Each piece is inspired by autumn hues, soft textures and the beauty of nature. Clay & Fern Co. also offers handmade bookmarks and magnets that make perfect stocking stuffers.

Maptote

MISC.

Do you have a budding artist at home? They’ll love the watercolor workbooks from Washington State’s Emily Lex Studio. They come in themes like flowers, winter and even baking. All the art inside is made by Emily Lex herself — you just need to paint it in! Plus, you can also grab paintable notecards and watercolor supplies for your teen on the website.

Lots of teens decorate their rooms head to toe with posters. But what if, instead of posters, your kid had high quality pennants and camp flags? Enter Oxford Pennant. They’ve been making these classic decorations in Buffalo, N.Y., hoping to bring back this lost art to America. Don’t let the style fool you, though: these decorations are anything but stuffy and old. Themed collections for Hamilton, Fall Out Boy and Weezer are among those you’ll find on the website.

Tote bags are all the rage right now. You can get your teen one that represents any travel they’ve done (or even their hometown!) from Maptote. This company was founded by a designer and cartographer couple, and it shows: The maps on these bags are beautifully detailed. Made in New York City, Maptote tries to source U.S.-based cotton for their products. (Be sure to check labels as a small percentage of other products on Maptote’s website are imported.)
