From filmmaker Carl Kriss comes a look at the ongoing effort to reshore semiconductor manufacturing to the United States.
America invented the semiconductor in the 1950s, led in its technological innovation and production for a few decades, then offshored it – along with nearly our entire technology supply chain. Today, this essential building block for everything from refrigerators to fighter jets is largely produced in chip fabs overseas.
We’ve been down, but we’re not out. U.S. workers and manufacturers are fighting back and reclaiming our tech future one chip at a time. That’s the story that unfolds in the “The New Frontier”, a new documentary from award-winning director Carl Kriss and produced by the Alliance for American Manufacturing, premiering on March 25. If you’re in the Washington, D.C. area, join us at The Miracle Theatre on Capitol Hill for the live premiere on March 25 and a panel discussion of experts and industry leaders.
Get your ticket here, watch the trailer below, and share it with anyone who thinks America can’t compete in the manufacture of cutting-edge technology.
