KOBELCO Releases Two New Straight Boom Excavators for Demolition
The SK300LC-11 and SK350LC-11 feature extended height and attachment capacity and less repositioning when tearing structures down...
KOBELCO has added the new SK300LC-11 and SK350LC-11 straight boom excavators to its lineup, designed to handle a wide range of attachments in demanding low- to mid-level demolition applications.
The straight boom configuration provides greater working height and tool capacity than conventional mono-boom excavators, as well as the positioning needed to tear down structures and process material. Additionally, enhanced performance and control features keep operators safe and productive, the company says.
The SK300LC-11 and SK350LC-11 Straight Boom are powered by a 265-horsepower Isuzu 6HK1 diesel engine. Its SCR/DEF emissions technology allows it to meet Tier 4 Final standards without a diesel particulate filter. The engine provides the power and torque needed to operate heavy demolition attachments in demanding applications, the company says.
Equipped with a standard case drain circuit, the excavators are now compatible with attachments that require hydraulic drainage. An in-cab hydraulic pressure release function simplifies attachment changes by allowing the operator to release hydraulic pressure from inside the cab before disconnecting work tools or hydraulic hoses.
Additional track guides provide stable movement over uneven ground, according to KOBELCO. An under cover prevents damage when moving over rubble, and an arm cover protects the arm from falling debris.
The SK300LC-11 is equipped with a heavier standard counterweight for extra stability and lifting capacity.
Standard or long-arm configurations allow contractors to balance increased reach with greater tool capacity depending on the needs of their operation. Capacities are as follows:
| Standard Arm | Standard Arm Max. Reach | Standard Arm Max. Tool Capacity | Long Arm | Long Arm Max. Reach | Long Arm Max. Tool Capacity | |
| SK300LC-11 Straight Boom | 10’ 2” | 36’ | 8,708 lb. | 13’ 1” | 39’ | 7,959 lb. |
| SK350LC-11 Straight Boom | 10’ 10” | 37’ | 10,825 lb. | 13’ 7” | 39’ | 9,348 lb. |
Operator Comfort and Control
KOBELCO says it focused on comfort, visibility and intuitive controls when designing the cab.
Key features include:
- A seven-way adjustable, heated air-suspension seat that moves together with the armrests and hydraulic controls to help reduce operator fatigue and absorb shock.
- Redesigned pilot levers with shorter strokes and horizontal movement for precise, responsive machine control.
- 10-inch color monitor and jog dial for access to machine settings, attachment hydraulic-flow adjustments, maintenance information and fuel consumption data.
- Standard three-camera system with a 270-degree view around the machine.
- Automatic climate control.
- Bluetooth hands-free audio.
- USB charging.
- LED-backlit controls.
Hydraulic flow settings for breakers, nibblers and rotating grapples can be adjusted through the monitor. Settings for other attachments can be added or changed to match operator and application requirements.
Demolition-Focused Safety
Purpose-built for demolition, both machines incorporate a range of features designed to protect the operator and enhance machine visibility.
The cab has a roll-over protective structure (ROPS) along with heavy-duty Level II top and front guarding.
Seven LED work lights come standard: two boom-mounted, two mounted at the front of the cab, one on the right side of the machine and two rear-facing lights integrated into the counterweight. The rear-facing lights and additional rear-swing flashers help increase machine visibility around the jobsite.
A standard travel alarm alerts surrounding workers when the machine is moving.
Machine Telematics
The KOBELCO KOMEXS (KOBELCO Monitoring Excavator System) provides owners and fleet managers with remote access to key machine information, including operating hours, fuel consumption, maintenance status and machine location.
Additional functions include:
- Engine start alarm
- Geofencing
- Current and historical machine location information
The SK300 and SK350 Straight Boom models both come backed by KOBELCO’s standard machine warranty. KOMEXS is included while the machine is covered under the factory warranty. Additional extended warranty coverage is available.
Excavators are the third-highest selling product category in the U.S., behind compact track loaders and mini excavators. Nearly 15,000 new financed units were sold from August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026, according to EDA equipment finance data. (EDA and Equipment World are both owned by Fusable.)
