Resolution 1: Stop buying junk. Resolution 2: Buy Made in USA.

Resolution 1: Stop buying junk. Resolution 2: Buy Made in USA.
Let’s face it: a lot of us make goals at the beginning of the year that we don’t end up reaching. Sometimes, life just gets in the way. But something that can make it harder is buying a cheaply made product to help you with your plans, only to have it fail on you. This year, reach your goals with these Made in America products that help with common New Year’s resolutions!
For those wanting to get fit
By far the most common New Year’s resolution is to exercise more. This can be a daunting task for those who are new to working out regularly, though. Not to fear! We’ve rounded up some USA-made fitness essentials that you can use to get started.
We can’t talk about athletic brands that are Made in the USA without bringing up New Balance, the only major athletic brand that is still manufacturing in the United States. The brand produces shoes and clothing at several factories scattered across New England. If you’re looking for a shoe that will last you longer than just January, you can’t do better than New Balance. Keep in mind that domestically-produced items make up a small portion of New Balance’s overall product line, so you’ll need to check labels and stick to the made in USA section of the website. But, in a time when so many major brands have zero American-made offerings, New Balance is a breath of fresh air!
Athletic socks may be overlooked, but a quality sock is the difference between a great workout and an extremely awkward and uncomfortable one. Try out the athletic socks from Wigwam next time you’re gearing up for a run. Wigwam has been making socks since 1905 in Sheboygan, Wis., so you can trust they know what they’re doing. Case in point: many of Wigwam’s socks feature Ultimax technology, which was invented by Wigwam to help keep your feet drier and blister free. A massive win for workouts everywhere!
Want to work out more, but don’t have a lot of appropriate clothing? Don’t let that prevent you from reaching your goals. Check out the clothes from Expert. This athletic brand is based in Los Angeles and focuses on sustainable production: they make their products without PFAS, which is otherwise known as a “forever chemical”. When you wear these clothes, you’ll not only look and feel good, but you’ll also be supporting a company that’s good for the planet!
Many people are starting new gym memberships in January, but what if you prefer to work out at home? There’s some great Made in USA options for you to build a home gym. PRx Performance was featured on Shark Tank and has made a name for themselves by making easy to store weight equipment. Many of their products are made in Fargo, N.D., but not all, so remember to check labels (and keep in mind that some of PRx’s products are made with both domestic and foreign sourced materials).
If you want to get into CrossFit, Columbus, Ohio’s Rogue Fitness is the perfect option. They’re the official partner to CrossFit and prioritize USA production each step of the way (check labels here, too, as while many of Rogue’s products are made here, not all of them are — stick to the Made in USA section of the website!).
For those who want to start using a journal/planner
Another common New Year’s resolution is to be more mindful, whether it be about your time, your tasks or your thoughts. A great way to do this is putting pen to paper to write down your to-dos or anything else on your mind. There’s a plethora of Made in USA planners and notebooks that can help you do just that.
For general journaling, Decomposition is a cool choice. Their designs are super unique and aesthetically pleasing. They come with normal lined pages, as well as blank pages for any artists out there. Plus, they’re made of recycled materials! You can find this family-owned, New York company in stores everywhere. If you are shopping on their website, remember to check labels: the company sells other branded merch that is not made in the US like the notebooks are.
Appointed also sells your typical notebooks, but they’re better known for their wide array of planners and calendars. These designs are far simpler and minimalist, and they make a perfect choice for the office. Each part of these notebooks is made in the United States, including the cotton! Much like Decomposition, Appointed also emphasizes eco-friendliness and uses biodegradable and recyclable materials.
For those who want better sleep
Getting enough sleep is so important, but so few of us actually do it. You can help upgrade your sleeping set up with these Made in USA products.
It’s pretty hard to sleep if you don’t have a comfortable pillow. Sleep in comfort and luxury with the pillows from A Little Pillow Company. The Virginia company’s products don’t come cheap, but they’re made with organic cotton and are free from toxicity that other, cheaper pillows have. Plus, they’re just insanely comfortable!
There’s nothing worse than almost falling asleep before being awakened by loud noises from across the street (or across from you in the bed if you’re sharing with someone who snores!). You won’t have to worry about that with Mack’s earplugs. They’re extremely effective at blocking noise without being too uncomfortable to sleep in (and they’re designed with sleep in mind!). Just be sure to double check the labels, as not all Mack’s products are made in the US.
For the highest quality sleep, it’s best to be in an environment that’s pitch black. That’s not possible for a lot of us. Luckily, you can get a sleep mask from SLEEPHAMMER to block the light out. These sleep masks with fun and eclectic designs are made in New Orleans. If you don’t see any available, keep checking, as they are often restocked on SLEEPHAMMER’s Etsy page.
For those wanting to drink more water
No matter what your New Year’s resolution is, everyone should drink more water in 2026. A classic option for staying hydrated no matter where you are is Nalgene. The Rochester, N.Y., company started out making bottles for science labs before realizing that people were using their products as water bottles instead. Nalgene pivoted, and the rest is history. Nalgene is one of the most iconic domestically manufactured companies, as chances are you’ve seen (or maybe even owned) one of these simple plastic bottles with the same promise printed on all of them: Made in the USA.
