Steelwrist Brings XTR Tiltrotators and SQ Quick Coupler Tech to CONEXPO 2026

Steelwrist will be at CONEXPO-CON/AGG from 3 to 7 March in Las Vegas, showcasing the company’s new products and innovations.

Steelwrist’s booth, F27055, will host the company’s largest and most hands-on display at the show so far. Visitors can explore the latest additions to the lineup, including the third-generation XTR tiltrotators and the fully automatic SQ quick coupler technology. Daily live demonstrations will start at 10:00 a.m., with excavators fitted with Steelwrist equipment running through real-world jobsite scenarios.

“CONEXPO is the largest exhibition in North America, an important meeting place for the industry and a great opportunity to demonstrate how our Steelwrist products add value on the job site. We look forward to meeting visitors in Las Vegas and showing how Steelwrist continues to drive efficiency for excavators”

Said Karl Serneberg, VP OEM Sales & Marketing.

Steelwrist SQ Couplers and Adaptors

During the daily live demos, operators will show how pairing a tiltrotator with a fully automatic quick coupler and a shared set of work tools can boost excavator efficiency. Two compact excavators will run the SQ40 automatic coupler on the X07 tiltrotator, making its first North American showing after debuting at Bauma Munich 2025. The setup targets fast changes of high-flow powered attachments on smaller machines, with tool swaps completed from inside the cab.

The demo lineup also includes a 14-ton short swing excavator fitted with a third-generation XTR15 tiltrotator and an Open-S compliant SQ60 automatic coupler, plus an electric compact excavator equipped with the smallest XTR2. Five XTR models and Steelwrist’s SQ automatic coupler technology will be on display at the booth, with the Steelwrist team from across the Americas available to meet customers, dealers and OEM partners.

Steelwrist entered the North American market in 2017, where adoption of tiltrotators and fully automatic quick couplers has steadily increased. Since then, the company has seen demand shift from curiosity to clear expectations around productivity and return on investment.

“There is now much stronger demand for fully integrated systems, including automatic quick couplers and powered work tools, that allow operators to do more without leaving the cab. Customers are also asking for tiltrotator solutions across a wider range of machine sizes, from compact excavators to larger classes, as the technology has moved from a niche application to a mainstream productivity tool in North American construction.”

Said Peter Gaj, newly appointed vice president for the Americas at Steelwrist.

Steelwrist has built a local sales and support organisation in Newington, Connecticut, backed by a growing dealer network to cover customers across North America. The company frames the expansion as a long-term commitment to the region and a platform for continued growth, with another practical change for contractors: products will be finally assembled and tested in the United States for the North American market.
