ScotPlant Debuts for Develon Brand and DD130-7 Dozer
Castle Douglas-based James Gordon Ltd (Gordons), the Authorised Dealer for Develon for the whole of Scotland and the county of Cumbria in England, is showing the Develon range for the first time at the ScotPlant 2024 Exhibition. Taking place at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh from 26-27 April 2024, ScotPlant will see premieres on the Gordons stand not only for the Develon brand itself, formerly known as Doosan Construction Equipment, but also the new DD130-7 15.3 tonne Dozer and the latest version of the popular DX140LC-7K 14.6 tonne crawler excavator. These products will be joined by a selection of Develon products from the smallest - mini-excavators from 1-10 tonne and the DL80TL compact wheel loader - to some of the larger machines such as the DX140LCR-7 15.6 tonne, DX225LC-7 23 tonne and DX300LC-7 31.5 tonne crawler excavators and the DL380-7 wheel loader. The display will also include a Develon DX235LCR-7 24.3 tonne crawler excavator specially adapted for scrapping vehicles. Develon Enters European Dozer Market One of the biggest differences between the DD130-7 and other dozer brands is the visibility the DD130-7 provides of the machine’s dozer blade. To facilitate this, the front engine compartment offers a narrower design to make it easier for operators to see their work. Other aspects of the DD130-7 that provide optimum visibility include: The precleaner is also tucked away in the engine compartment to maximize front visibility. Relocating the electronic cooling system to the back of the dozer has further improved front visibility. The cab’s low-profile front pillars provide maximum glass area. The all-glass doors provide a full view of the working environment. For further visibility and safety, a standard rearview camera provides operators with an additional view of the dozer’s surroundings. The full-colour, 8-inch Smart Touch display shows the feed from the rearview camera. Also standard are high-illumination LED lights and four premium wiper blades. New Version of 14 tonne Crawler Excavator The new DX140LC-7K has replaced Develon’s successful DX140LC-7 model. Whilst the performance and working range are the same as the previous model, the new machine incorporates many improvements that enhance safety and convenience both for the operator and for working on site, together with a better operator experience, particularly from a maintenance point of view. Latest Generation Develon Mini-Excavators Visitors to the Gordons stand at ScotPlant can see selected models from Develon’s next generation mini-excavator range at ScotPlant. The models on show include the DX10Z 1 tonne, DX20Z-7 2 tonne, DX27Z-7 2.8 tonne, DX55R-7 5.7 tonne, DX63-7 6.2 tonne and DX85R-7 9.5 tonne Stage V models. All these machines offer power and torque among the highest in their respective classes and cover many applications including heavy duty work. High Performance 10 tonne Wheeled Excavator The DX100W-7 10.7 tonne wheeled excavator offers a high performance solution for customers looking for a wheeled excavator designed primarily for urban and road maintenance applications. For this type of work, the DX100W-7 offers the best compromise between compactness and agility, complemented by excellent productivity and high-end comfort. It is very important that this type of machine can operate in very restricted areas, so the DX100W-7 can be equipped with the option of four wheel steering and a crabbing mode, with two wheel steering as standard. The Award-Winning Develon DL-7 Wheel Loader Range Like all of the 11 models in the award-winning ‘DL-7’ range of wheel loaders from Develon, the DL380-7 offers a state-of-the-art design, incorporating a powerful new Stage V engine and providing higher productivity, increased fuel efficiency and a low cost of ownership, coupled with a new cab offering a superb environment and experience for the operator. New Compact Wheel Loaders The DL80TL is one of five compact wheel loaders from Develon, that also include the DL60, DL65, DL80 and DL85-7 models, with operating weights from 3500 to 5000 kg. Just like their much heavier versions in the Develon range, these compact wheel loaders set the industry standard for productivity, flexibility, comfort, safety and reliability, with powerful Stage V engines, hydrostatic 4-wheel drive, 100% differential lock on both axles and versatile and powerful hydraulics. Established in 1865 Based in Dumfries and Galloway, Gordons is the Authorised Dealer for the Develon range in all of Scotland and for the county of Cumbria in Northern England. Gordons was established in 1865 and is a premier distributor of agricultural and construction equipment in Scotland.
