Manitowoc Expands Regional Presence with New 11,000 mq Facility in France

Manitowoc has opened a new regional customer support facility in Bouaye, on the southeastern outskirts of Nantes, France. This facility reinforces the company’s commitment to providing localizing, life-quality service and stronger technical support to customers across the region.

The new Bouaye facility will serve both Potain and Grove customers, offering a full range of maintenance and repair services. Spanning a total land area of 11,000 m², the site includes a 7,300 m² secure outdoor storage yard equipped with a Potain MD 365 yard crane and a 600 m² indoor workshop housing part storage, mechanical and welding areas, and a 10-ton overhead crane.

A dedicated team of technical specialists will operate from Bouaye, providing preventive and corrective maintenance through tailored service contracts and reconditioning, and regulatory examinations for tower cranes.

According to Jérôme Chanel, Vice President Sales & Aftermarket Tower Europe, the new facility marks a step in Manitowoc’s long-term service strategy:

“Our new facility will allow us to better serve customers by improving service and repair capabilities, increasing parts availability. We are positioning ourselves to meet market demands with more products and better service offerings, making it easier for our customers to maintain and repair their cranes efficiently.”

The Bouaye site complements Manitowoc’s existing network of eight service points across France, located in Bordeaux, Toulouse, Méru, Orléans, Dole, Lyon, Marseille and Nice.
