MAGNA, a Terex brand focused on large-scale crushing, screening and conveying equipment, will make its Hillhead debut this June. The company will exhibit with two machines: the MT400C large cone crusher and the MT6S heavy-duty scalping screen.

Launched in 2024, MAGNA has previously presented its range during customer open days in the UK and the United States, before appearing at CONEXPO-CON/AGG.

MT400C cone crusher

The MT400C is aimed at aggregates producers and contractors and is designed for high output and consistent cubical product shape. The unit features an 8 m³ (10.4 yd³) hopper and feeder, and includes an automated metal detection system with a purge chute intended to protect the cone and reduce unplanned stoppages.

Other features listed for the MT400C include hydraulic closed side setting adjustment with electronic monitoring, a direct-drive system using a wet clutch, and a hydraulic tramp relief system with automatic reset. The machine can be configured with multiple liner options for different applications and includes overload protection, dust suppression, and telemetry as standard.

MT6S scalping screen

The MT6S mobile scalping screen will also be on display, designed for high-volume material processing across quarrying, mining, construction and demolition waste, topsoil and recycling applications. The company says throughput can reach up to 800 tonnes per hour, with the unit able to be fed by a tracked crusher, a wheel loader or an excavator.

The MT6S uses a two-deck screening set-up, with a 6.1 m x 1.8 m (20′ x 6′) top deck and a 5.5 m x 1.8 m (18′ x 6′) bottom deck in a modular screen box configuration. Hydraulic adjustment allows the screen angle to be set between 14 and 18 degrees, while the discharge end can be raised by 600 mm to simplify access and media changes. Stockpiling conveyors feature hydraulic angle adjustment and extending head sections to increase discharge height and stockpile capacity.

“Hillhead is an important next step for the brand. It allows us to introduce the MT400C and MT6S to customers, following the response to the MT130J mobile jaw crusher at CONEXPO.”

Said Neil McIlwaine, Business Line Director for MAGNA.

MAGNA will make its first UK exhibition appearance at Hillhead in June on stand L4.
