Liebherr Introduces First Compact LTC 1050-3.1 Crane in Brazil
Featuring 50-tonne capacity, 48-metre lift height, 2.55-metre width, ECOmode fuel optimisation, and VarioBase, the LTC 1050-3.1 excels in confined industrial sites with rapid deployment. www.liebherr.com The Brazilian company Vertical Equipamentos has expanded its fleet with a used LTC 1050-3.1 compact crane from Liebherr and, in doing so, has set a milestone: it is the first compact crane from Liebherr ever to be used in Brazil. The 3-axle crane was created especially for restricted working environments and in future will be used primarily in refineries and petrochemical plants. With a lifting height of up to 48 metres and a load-bearing capacity of 50 tonnes, the LTC 1050-3.1 offers the perfect prerequisites for challenging lifting work in confined spaces. Company owner Almiro Calmon explains: “Our priority is to offer the right solutions for particularly challenging job locations, too. The LTC 1050-3.1 was developed especially for use in the industrial sector and is ready for use straight away on site. Thanks to its compact dimensions, it will meet our requirements perfectly.” Strategic decision The procurement of the Liebherr compact crane was a strategic decision for Vertical Equipamentos, taken with the long-term goal of further expanding its market position in critical industries such as refineries and petrochemicals. Following an in-depth technical analysis carried out in conjunction with Liebherr, the company opted for the LTC 1050-3.1. “We firmly believe that this is the ideal crane for our new challenges," continues Calmon. The 50-tonne model impresses not just with its performance in industrial environments with restricted space, but also with its mobility: with a width of just 2.55 metres, the crane can be used with great flexibility and without having to make any compromises in terms of lifting capacity. The total ballast, double folding jib and hook block can be transported fully mounted on public roads, while compliance with the 12-tonne load limit on each axle and the shortened setup time on site ensure additional efficiency. Another highlight is the innovative cab concept: the elevated and tilting cabin allows the best possible visibility both while moving and during lifting operations. Technologies such as ECOmode for fuel optimisation and VarioBase® for safe and efficient crane operation add the finishing touches to the overall package. www.liebherr.com Powered by Induportals Media Publishing
