Kobelco Introduces the SK850LC-11 NEXT-gen Excavator in the US Market

KCMU has announced the launch of the new SK850C-11 to its line-up of in construction machinery. This large “Next Generation” -11 machine delivers superior performance, greater efficiency, and is loaded with standard features.

Weighing in at around 186,000 this 85-ton crawler excavator offers the perfect combination of power and stability in large capacity applications. The machine includes a new 512 hp Isuzu TIER IV Final engine with power and torque to lift heavy loads and operate large tools with ease. Power meets fuel savings with the combination of our boom to arm hydraulic regeneration system, ECO-Mode, auto idle stop, and auto engine deceleration. Customers will find the SK850C-11 lets you load more trucks and
move more material; more efficiently.

Power and Versatility

SK850LC-11 Hydraulic system The highly efficient yet powerful hydraulic system minimizes fuel consumption while maximizing power. The KOBELCO pilot controlled hydraulic system delivers smooth response to operator input with an outstanding digging force of 90,598 Ibf and an arm force of 61,148 Ibf. Featuring auto warm-up, combination rotation with 2-way nibbler breaker with case drain, ISO/BHL pattern changer, and boom and arm safety valves.

Having the ability to multifunction while travelling (lift, swing, and carry) is provided due to the exclusive Independent Travel function. With the press of a switch, the machine dedicates one hydraulic pump to the travel system and one to all the other functions. This allows the -11 series to smoothly travel while having the ability lift and swing heavy loads where most of the competition cannot. Heavy Lift and Power Boost (with unlimited time use) selection adds the power needed to get through the toughest conditions, and the in-cab hydraulic pressure release function allows customers to change work tools or hoses easily and safely.

Additionally. the powerful reversable fan and removable clean out screens keep the machine running cool.

KOBELCO A Commitment to Safety, Comfort, and Technological Innovations

The -11 series features cabin environments with enhanced ergonomics and safety features with best-in-class cabin space and visibility. This cabin includes a 7-way adjustable, heated air suspension seat that moves together with the armrests and hydraulic controls to reduce operator fatigue, provides excellent shock absorption, and superior ride comfort.

The operator’s pilot levers move horizontally without arching of the wrist, while also providing shorter lever strokes to deliver a swifter, more precise movement. Multiple air conditioning and heater vents are directed towards the operator to maximize comfort. On the right-side console there is a jog dial that integrates multiple functions into a single user interface with the large 10-inch color monitor. This easy-to-operate menu screen facilitates reading of important information includ ing work mode, maintenance intervals, and fuel consumption, as well as providing a 270-degree view from the machine’s standard three camera system.
