Imetame expands fleet with four Liebherr mobile cranes

LTM 1090-4.2, 1120-4.1, 1250-5.1 and 1230-5.1 support major Brazilian pulp project.  www.liebherr.comDelivery of Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 and LTM 1250-5.1 mobile cranes to the Imetame Group (from left to right): Fabio Azevedo (Liebherr Brasil LTDA.), Andre Luiz Cavalcanti Boechat (Imetame Group), Ronaldo Sarcinelli (Imetame Group), Elivane José de Souza (Imetame Group), Welerson Roni Cavaglieri (Imetame Group), Rene Porto (Liebherr Brasil LTDA.), Gilson Pereira (Imetame Group) and Nilson Marin (Imetame Group). The Brazilian Imetame Group has strengthened its lifting capacity with the addition of four new mobile cranes from Liebherr: the LTM 1090-4.2, LTM 1120-4.1, LTM 1250-5.1 and LTM 1230-5.1. The investment supports a major pulp and paper project in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, where the cranes will be deployed for heavy lifting, plant assembly and large-scale pipeline installation. Announced in Ehingen (Donau), Germany, on February 18, 2026, the fleet expansion reflects Imetame’s strategy to enhance technical performance while maintaining high safety standards. According to Ronaldo Sarcinelli, Operations Manager at Imetame Metalmecânica, the selected crane models are well aligned with the company’s operational requirements, delivering productivity and performance in complex industrial environments. Complementary strengths for complex lifting To address varied project demands, Imetame selected a mix of four- and five-axle all-terrain cranes that complement each other operationally. The LTM 1090-4.2 offers high mobility and versatility for a wide range of lifting scenarios. The LTM 1120-4.1, described as the most powerful crane in the 4-axle class, features a long telescopic boom that reduces the need for additional transport and setup time. The LTM 1250-5.1 joins the fleet as a high-capacity 5-axle crane designed to maximise lifting performance within permissible axle loads. Completing the package, the LTM 1230-5.1 provides a particularly long telescopic boom with optional lattice extensions, enabling operations at significant heights and challenging angles. Advanced technology for demanding environments All four cranes feature all-terrain undercarriages, enabling road travel as well as operation on demanding construction sites. Their telescopic boom systems allow rapid access to high working heights, while optional lattice jibs and folding extensions increase flexibility. Integrated technologies such as VarioBase® and VarioBallast® enhance stability and adaptability, particularly in confined spaces and varying load conditions. These features are especially valuable in large-scale industrial projects where space constraints and complex lifting geometries are common. Strengthening a long-term partnership The new delivery further deepens collaboration between Imetame and Liebherr. Sarcinelli emphasised that reliability, technical support and customer service were decisive factors in the purchasing decision. With more than 45 years of experience and around 5,000 employees, the Imetame Group operates across metal processing, natural stone, port logistics, energy, oil and gas sectors, with headquarters in Aracruz, Espírito Santo. The addition of the four Liebherr cranes reinforces its capability to execute sophisticated industrial projects in Brazil’s expanding pulp and paper industry. www.liebherr.com Powered by Induportals Media Publishing
