Elobau acquires Recalm to expand audio and noise-control portfolio
Elobau has acquired the assets of Hamburg-based start-up Recalm, a specialist in communication and noise-control systems, through an asset deal. As a result, Recalm will join the Ensian group, of which Elobau is also a member. Elobau had previously been involved in developing recalm’s first product, the Ancor headrest — a retrofit system designed for use in the cabs of heavy off-highway machinery. The system combines loudspeakers, microphones and sensors to reduce the level of vehicle noise perceived by the operator without the need for headphones.
