Operated by Heritage Quarry Group (North) Ltd, the site holds consented reserves exceeding ten million tonnes, ensuring long-term production and supply capacity. The DX490LC-7 handles primary excavation and feeds mobile crushing and screening equipment, while the DL580-7 manages high-volume stockpiling and truck loading. High-Performance Machines Selected for Intensive Quarry Work Designed for heavy-duty workloads, the DX490LC-7 combines a Scania Stage V diesel engine with Develon’s D-Ecopower+ and SPC3 control systems to deliver strong breakout forces and improved fuel efficiency. Increased pump capacity and higher available power contribute to productivity gains in the 50-tonne class, enabling efficient handling of dense limestone deposits. The DL580-7, the largest wheel loader in Develon’s DL-7 line, offers a 6.4 m³ bucket capacity and robust lifting and breakout forces supported by Z-kinematic linkage. Its performance capabilities allow rapid movement of crushed stone, effective stockpile management and faster truck-loading cycles, supporting overall site efficiency.
