Calatherm launches 800V battery thermal management system
Calatherm has launched the BTMS 1 (800V), a battery thermal management system developed for higher-voltage electric and hybrid vehicle platforms. The new unit follows the existing BTMS 1 (400V) and combines heating and cooling capabilities within a single system, delivering up to 6kW of cooling and 7kW of heating. It operates at 800VDC nominal voltage, and passive cooling can be achieved using a separate radiator pack. Its compact and lightweight design also allows integration with cabin HVAC systems.
