Autonomous AgXeed AgBot sets world ploughing record
A new world ploughing record has been set by an autonomous vehicle covering just over 50 acres in 24 hours. Taking place in the UK at Birch Farm in North Yorkshire the new record was achieved by the AgXeed AgBot 5.115T2 driverless vehicle pulling a five-furrow Kverneland LO 300/85 plough. Officially, the 24-hour autonomous ploughing challenge knocked up 20.8ha (51.37 acres) of ploughing using the robotic tractor, which is powered by a Deutz diesel engine.
