Hitachi Construction Machinery is lining up a broad mix of equipment, factory-integrated technology and aftersales support for SaMoTer 2026, Italian trade fair for the construction machinery industry, scheduled for 6 to 9 May in Verona. The display is planned for Hall 10, stand M3-N4, under the banner “The Reliable Orange.”
Behind the slogan sits a familiar message for contractors: durability, uptime, safety and tighter control of life-cycle costs. Hitachi also links the theme to its ongoing shift toward a more service- and solutions-led offer, as the group prepares for the LANDCROS rebrand announced for 2027.
On the Italian side, the company says the full local dealer network will be present across the show days, a signal of how central Italy remains for distribution, parts and service coverage
The stand, which will span over 780m2, will host six machines, specially selected to represent key segments of the European construction market. This includes two popular medium crawler excavators the ZX135US-7 and ZX300LC-7, a ZX135W-7 wheeled excavator, a compact super long front machine – the ZX95US-7 SLF – and a ZW310-7 wheel loader.
“Each machine has been selected to demonstrate a specific application focus. From deep trenching and confined urban excavation projects to heavy-duty infrastructure and high-capacity quarry loading.”
Says Bill Drougkas, HCME Manager Product Management

HCME President and CEO Francesco Quaranta said the focus in Verona will be on a balanced line-up of machines, technology and a refreshed brand identity:
“At SaMoTer, we will present a clear and confident message. With a well-balanced portfolio of machines, advanced technology solutions, and a renewed brand identity, we demonstrate that reliability is not only engineered but embedded to the highest standards.
Hitachi’s booth is expected to include LANDCROS Play, an interactive space built around operator skills and digital tasks, aimed at drawing attention to training and the role of operators in day-to-day site performance. Visitors can also catch a ZX300-7 working in the SaMoTer demonstration area, while a ZX225US-7 is set to appear on the Leica Geosystems stand.
