Raimondi Cranes has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire several key business lines from U.S.-based Terex Corporation, in a transaction that industry observers describe as one of the most significant crane deals in recent decades.

The Italian manufacturer, operating under Arada Industries, will acquire Terex Tower Cranes, Terex Self-Erecting Cranes, Terex Rough Terrain Cranes, as well as the company’s U.S.-based service and support hub in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The acquisition expands Raimondi’s product portfolio beyond tower and luffing jib cranes into new segments such as self-erecting and rough terrain cranes. It also provides access to Terex’s established global distribution network, reinforcing Raimondi’s growth strategy and long-term international ambitions.

This is a transformative milestone in our journey to become a global lifting conglomerate,” said Luigi Maggioni, CEO of Raimondi Group. “By combining Raimondi’s engineering heritage with Terex’s innovation and U.S. infrastructure, we are creating synergies that will fuel sustainable growth and strengthen our market position.

The agreement will see approximately 250 Terex employees join Raimondi, increasing the company’s total workforce to around 400. The deal includes:

  • Terex Tower and Self-Erecting Cranes facilities in Fontanafredda, Italy

  • Terex Rough Terrain Cranes facility in Crespellano, Italy

  • Terex North America Cranes service hub in Wilmington, North Carolina

The acquisition is expected to accelerate Raimondi’s entry into the North American market while consolidating its presence in Europe and the Middle East. Raimondi has set a target of reaching $500 million in annual revenues by 2028.

Simon Meester, President and CEO of Terex Corporation, commented: “Raimondi is recognized worldwide for product innovation and customer service. We believe these businesses will benefit from becoming part of a global specialty crane company. Terex is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for both employees and customers.

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.
